I hear Bill Gates saying the following statements during the last 5 years:
His first statement was:
We still need humans?
Not for most things.
You know, we’ll decide.
His second statement during a TED talk was:
First, we’ve got population.
The world today has 6 point 8 billion people.
If we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, and reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.
His third statement was:
I do believe unbelievable progress can be made, both inventing new vaccines and making sure they get out to all the children who need them.
The benefits there, in terms of reducing sickness and reducing the population growth, really allow society a chance.
His fourth statement was:
Livestock is a huge source of emissions.
There are new ideas about genetics and direct seeding.
With cows, you can vaccinate them, change the genetics.
His fifth statement was:
Most of the time you’re online, you’re going to want to be in an environment where people are truly identified.
That is, they’re connected to a real-world identity that you trust, instead of just people saying whatever they want.
Let that sink in.
